This week is mainly working on a portfolio. The three of us put together the things we did. I used to be in charge of the model, Alida was in charge of material analysis. Thomas was in charge of VR. Now we put everything together. Then we made a lot of drawings.

This week is the last review, so we made a relatively complete project process, including research, process, drawings, etc.

The teacher suggested that our materials should be less confusion and the logic is a bit confusing. We plan to continue to improve afterwards

This week is mainly the drawing of drawings. I drew plan, elevation, plan and renderings. And I also need to make Powerpoint.

Because we want to use the tide in the project, I did a local tide analysis. Mainly considering the safety factors, we must ensure that the height of the high tide is safe to ensure the feasibility of our project.

This week my team perfected the VR in the project, we strive to make VR and space better together, and the space structure is also advancing.

And we found that the tide at the location can be applied to our project, so we use the combination of tide and VR to provide an immersive experience

Because the material of the previous model has been improved. And this week we solved the problem that the model will be washed away by the sea water. We intend to reinforce the bottom of the model.

This week we analyzed the materials of the model and I found a good case. We may use plastic as the main material.

Müll is a sustainability project started by industrial designer Carter Zufelt, .Industrial designer Carter Zufelt has created a new process for recycling discarded plastics. Unlike most current methods, his is able to transform garbage into uniquely-crafted art.
Zufelt’s initial focus has been polyethylene in the form of plastic bags. Polyethylene, specifically HDPE, has a high strength-to-density ratio, is widely accessible, and can be found in an abundance of colors. Common sources of HDPE are milk containers, tupperware, oil/shampoo/detergent bottles, and of course, the ubiquitous grocery bag.

This week our group participated in the review, and the teacher put forward a lot of opinions on our project. For example, will our project be washed away by the sea on the beach? We will improve the project. And the teacher’s combination of our VR and sound very interested.

We will continue to develop space and VR.

This week I did a three-view, rendering and conceptual analysis of the space. Because of the review next week, our group ’s discussions are more frequent. This speeds up the progress of our project.

This week I made a model of the project.We hope to use rubber as the material of the project. Due to the characteristics of the material, this model can consider building many curved surfaces.

And our team also produced a preliminary VR model.

After these few days of discussion, our team decided on a plan. Owen suggested to unify the three of us to make a project, so this proposal combines the ideas of the three of us.

I proposed a space about stimulating people ’s attention to the impact of marine debris on marine animals.Visitors experience how sea animals feel trapped by garbage.

Thomas hopes to use VR technology in the project.
