Project Document Vedio Making and Improve Killer images

I made a video of the project production process and improved the Killer image. I studied PR software for making videos. I found that making videos is a more interesting job. I find that the rhythm of the music and the changes in the scene need to be tried many times to achieve my satisfaction. I added the helmet from my last project to the Killer image. I also added my own photos to the scene.

Profolio and Report Making

I have completed my portfolio and completed my previous analysis of seabed plants and animals this week. I also made a story board. Clarify what the experiencer may do in each space and its functionality.

I adjusted the rendering of each space and improved the killer image. At the same time, I also completed the report.

100m&600-1000m Space Making

I used Lumion to make 100m and 600-1000m spaces this week. Both of these spaces are in the deep sea area, so I adjusted the colors of these two spaces to be darker. The light source mainly comes from the self-luminescence of animals and plants. I put more rubbish in these two areas. Strange marine creatures are placed in the space of 600-1000m deep in the ocean.

Make a sence

After finishing the review, Lucy and several teachers gave a lot of good suggestions, and then I saw a lot of beautiful scenes. So yesterday we made a big change to the project. In the past, we just made a building, and wanted to make a sea floor Of scence. Alida and I made an underwater scene. This scene is made in 3DMAX after making the basic model in-depth and rendered in Lumion.

Make Model and Prepare Review

This week I was responsible for continuing to make the model. This 70m deep ocean model was inspired by the whale shark. I extracted two elements from the whale shark. One is the skin pattern of the whale shark. The skin of a whale shark has yellow-white spots and stripes. Each spot of a whale shark is unique and can be used by biologists to identify different individuals. The second is the shark fin of a whale shark. I refer to the shape of the shark fin in the model.

Then I prepared the typography from sources and digital media, referring to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch for our project. So I did research on Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. As a live-action interactive film, it allows players to choose between different events rather than playing the leading role, resulting in different life outcomes. We also offer similar options in the project, providing visitors with options and access to the next space.

Research and Make Model

Today I made a research on the ocean, analyzing the organisms and their characteristics at different ocean depths. Then I want to apply these features to the project model.

Under 200 meters of water, due to abundant sunlight, phytoplankton can fully photosynthesize. We know that large marine animals such as various dolphins, whales, sharks, and tuna are mostly in this water layer.

The ocean with a depth of 200-1000 meters, as a transition zone between the light-transmitting upper layer and the completely dark deep layer, the faint light in this water layer gradually disappears as the depth increases, and a little light is not enough for photosynthesis effect. The biological communities in the middle zone are generally small in size. For example, krill and other crustaceans

The deep sea layer with a water depth of 1000-4000 meters is dark here, and bioluminescence is the only light source. Most creatures at this depth have their muscles relaxed so that they can only wait for the prey to be sent to the door. The extremely slow metabolism is also Adapt to this harsh environment. The main fishes in deep waters are small diamond fish.

The ocean with a depth of 4000-6000 meters is an extremely scarce food area. The main fish are small fish and sea urchins.

I made a 20m model of the ocean. The inspiration comes from the dendritic structure of the coral and the rounded mouth. As a starting space, the experiencer stands in the center and chooses from multiple directions.

Project 4. Concept

I was thinking about concept this week, alida put forward the idea of using space conversion, I proposed a plan to continue to deepen the interior design of the previous project, and finally we decided to adopt the idea of converting space after discussion. After that we made a script. We will apply VR to the project, and we will hear multiple questions and several options for the experiencer. People will make choices through VR devices, and according to the visitor’s choice, he will enter another virtual space. There are seven spaces throughout the project. They all represent different depths of the ocean. We chose marine creatures that live in different depths of the ocean as elemental design spaces. The space area above is larger and brighter, and the space area below is smaller and darker.
